TECH NEWS: It is now much easier to use Arturia’s softsynths from your brand-new MacBook .. Arturia has released a free V Collection 8.2 update that adds native support to the (currently discounted) suite for Macs with M1 processors. As you can see, this should increase performance. However, it may also improve battery life for those who need to play without a computer.

Other speed updates are coming soon. This update improves performance for 4K interfaces by introducing a new framework. Presets from V Collection factory libraries load twice as fast. You’ll also find ODDSound MTS-ESP microtuning compatibility for the Clavinet V, DX7 V, Piano V and Stage-73 V.

This is an important update for anyone who uses softsynths to make music. Arturia has a reputation for virtual instruments that are both meticulous and relatively accessible. V Collection is more accessible on M1 Macs, and this gives you more reason to use digital synths rather than searching for their more expensive real-world counterparts.
