After weeks of speculation, also known as unfortunate leaks, Warner Bros. Games has finally unveiled MultiVersus. This new platform fighter features many familiar faces. The reveal trailer was hosted by Tony Huynh (co-founder of Player First Games) and focuses on online competitive play with a 2v2 format. For those who prefer single-player competition, there will also be 1v1 and four-player free for alls.

The roster includes many iconic characters from across the Warner Bros. portfolio, including Batman and Superman from DC Comics, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, and Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. Most importantly, Shaggy is equipped with Ultra Instinct powers. This allows him to bring the meme to life, as well as performing a projectile move that he throws a sandwich.

MultiVersus will also feature a full voice cast with many of the characters’ original actors, including Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, Kevin Conroy as Batman, and John Dimaggio as Jake the Dog. Huynh confirmed that more characters will be added to the roster. A recent leak revealed Rick Sanchez, Rick and Morty, among the cast. However, he is not shown in the trailer.

“MultiVersus is a dream project for our team at Player First Games, and we’re excited to officially reveal the game,” Huynh said in the official press release. MultiVersus was built from the ground up to encourage teamwork and strategy. Our online gaming platform is dedicated to providing the best possible gaming experience through dedicated server-based rollback code. This will allow friends and foes to enjoy a smooth competitive experience while they battle it out with our varied cast of characters. “
