Playing with Color: Armchair Philosophy, a new book by Annie Bellevue Kolte, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Annie Bellevue Kolte would call Playing with Color, Armchair Philosophy “word vomit.” Kolte employs a stream-of-consciousness style of writing to provide her the freedom to express herself through tangents that may or may not be related to the overall piece. It may not be coherent, but it is compelling. The piece includes fiction, poetry and insightful philosophies that keep readers engaged. Kolte’s goal is to share her journey and show how beginnings can be unexpected, inspiring, and even thought-provoking. Armchair Philosophy was her first attempt at philosophical pursuits. It conveys the message that you can make something with perseverance, dedication and love of writing. Every beginning is hard; no one is perfect at their very first attempt. But Kolte puts herself out there to share her thoughts with the world and begins the journey towards growth and experience.

About the Author

Annie Bellevue Kolte, who has been unemployed for more than a year, is now part-time and working. She is also looking to volunteer for veterans. She has previously worked as a busser in a restaurant, and as a dishwasher. Both of these jobs had definite systems. They were both more efficient than inefficient ways to complete the work. Kolte’s love for apophenia is evident in this acknowledgment. It’s the ability to find meaning and/or patterns wherever there are none.

Kolte loves to watch crime TV shows in her spare time. The darker content is better, as are the complex relationships between characters. And the smarter, yet more sadistic, criminals. She enjoys exploring the intersections between philosophy and psychology, philosophy in daily life, philosophy, and philosophyizing.

Playing with Color: Armchair Philosophy is a 202-page hardback with a retail price of $45. 00 (eBook $40.00). The ISBN is 978-1-6376-4176-7. The book was published by Dorrance Publishing Company, Inc. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
