If you missed the announcement last year, Harvey Kubernik will be on-screen as a subject for the documentary about the Toronto Canada festival that featured the legendary debut of John Lennon. Filmed were Geddy Lee of Rush and Alice Cooper, Rodney Bingenheimer and John Brower, 1969 concert promoter. Jerry Lee Lewis will be lensed. The doc is produced by Pennebaker Hegedus Productions and Paris Films A Cinq. It was written by Phyllis Ellis. The doc will include rare cinematic archive footage that includes unreleased concert footage from D. A. Pennebaker’s original 16mm film, and a narrative primarily told through the eyes of those who were there. Production kicked off in August 2021 on the 90-minute film.
