London, United Kingdom, January 09, 2022 –(– SMi presents its 16th annual Parallel Trade conference on the 21st and the 22nd March 2022. This conference is the only European parallel trade conference. It provides a platform for industry professionals from both sides to share their perspectives and offer a unique opportunity to meet.

The 2022 event will be more significant than ever before due to the transition period after Brexit coming to an end. The UK will be expelled from the EU’s free market. This will result in higher medicines prices, less access to certain specialist drugs, and greater supply chain risks. Exhaustion of rights will no longer apply to the UK in a post-Brexit world. This could make import and export more expensive and, in the worst case, even kill parallel distribution.

This conference will bring together industry professionals to discuss the drivers and challenges facing the industry, as well as the EU regulatory landscape and the effects of Brexit and Pandemic. This conference will provide insights from around the world on Parallel trade, and it will highlight key takeaways that can be used by other member countries.
