Killington, VT, November 25, 2021 –(– After suffering through a cancelled Killington HomeLight World Cup last season due to COVID-19, ski racing fans are chomping at the bit to witness the exciting women’s alpine ski racing action firsthand this coming Thanksgiving weekend. The return to normalcy is apparent – the racers will be on top of the hill, the fans will be there, and the vendor village will be bustling with vendors selling schwag. However, one thing that will not be present is direct contact between the athlete and spectator. All athletes live in isolation during the months leading to the Winter Olympics. They have limited, or even no, contact with anyone other than their coaches, teammates, technicians, or others who have been cleared with the appropriate protocols. For the safety and health of the athletes, contact must be limited to their closest circle.

Even though none of the women competing at Killington will be able to meet, greet, and interact with the crowd, retired American alpine ski racer and two-time Olympic gold medalist, Ted Ligety, will be signing autographs on Saturday, November 27th after racing has concluded. WINTERSTEIGER is the world’s leader in ski service and has teamed up to offer adoring fans a taste pre-Covid fun and fanfare. Hosted at Peak Performance Ski Shop, time and details to be announced on social media, the signing will run for 45 minutes. Peak Performance is just down the access road from the World Cup event at 2808 Killington Road and the signing will take place outside, so attendees should dress accordingly.

Like Wintersteiger US on Facebook and Instagram to see all details about the event. One lucky winner will receive a pair of HOTRONIC heat socks and a cup of hot chocolate after the autograph signing.
