Legendary game designer Hideo Kajima posted a cryptic teaser that suggests a new project. Many believe Norman Reedus, his collaborator, may be involved.

Posting on Twitter, Kojima shared an image of people in a studio space who appear to be preparing to film something. Although this is not confirmed by many commenters, it was suggested that Norman Reedus may be the person wearing the white shirt and the black boots in front. Reedus was to be a star in Kojima’s Silent Hills project, but he reunited in Death Stranding with Kojima.

“Recently, I’ve been revising the plan and script, and experimenting with everything else,” Kojima said, without giving away any specifics. This is quite normal for Kojima, who is well-known for his cryptic language.

Games media personality Geoff Keighley, who organizes The Game Awards and is a friend of Kojima’s, replied to the tweet with eyes emoji. Although this doesn’t necessarily mean anything it has led to speculation that Kojima could be at The Game Awards on December 9th.

Kojima Productions recently opened a film and TV studio in Los Angeles, so it’s possible this new project that Kojima is teasing is not a game at all.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut was the latest game released by Kojima Productions in September. Although nothing has been confirmed, the team may be releasing their next game ,.

Even if Kojima doesn’t have any news to share at The Game Awards, it’s shaping up to be a huge event. It will feature 40-50 games, and about 10 brand-new announcements. As for the awards themselves, Deathloop leads the way with nine total nominations, including a nod for Game of the Year. The Game Awards will take place on Thursday, December 9 at 5 PM PT/ 8 PM ET.
