About M. Scott McIntyre

Scott McIntyre is a BakerHostetler partner and an experienced litigator. He provides advice to employers regarding wage and hour compliance, and defends collective action, class action claims, and lawsuits. His expertise includes the defense of off–the-clock claims and misclassification claims, independent contractor liabilities, joint employment claims, employee privacy and security issues, and joint employment claims. He has successfully tried numerous cases for employers, including a win on behalf a national employer client in a high stakes lawsuit filed by EEOC. A recent federal jury trial was also a success. He is board-certified as a specialist on employment and labor law. He is ranked by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and retains the Martindale AV rating. Scott’s practice covers all aspects of employment litigation in multiple industries. He also counsels union and non-union employers regarding litigation avoidance strategies. Scott is a former clerk of the Seventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals Judge. He also has an active appellate practice. Scott was the past president of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Federal Bar Association and is currently an appointed member of Ohio Supreme Courts Commission for the Rules of Practice and Procedure.
