Dallas, TX, November 16, 2021 –(PR.com)– The idea of entrepreneurship within Urban Specialists was the vision of Bishop Omar Jahwar to provide an alternative for our urban communities to build sustainable businesses and inspire generations. The Urban Specialists are excited to continue his legacy through the launch of the Bishop Omar School of Entrepreneurship Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Gilley’s from 6: 30 pm to 8: 30 pm. The goal of the Urban Specialists is to end generational poverty through providing business development services that transform lives and help individuals start and grow profitable businesses. We cannot do this alone, so we will work with public agencies, higher education institutions, corporations, and nonprofits to develop a sustainable program that will benefit Urban communities.

The Urban Specialists have partnered with Rising Tide Capital Network, a national nonprofit that shares the same vision to unleash the potential of local entrepreneurs and lift families out of financial insecurity. The Urban Specialists have created a model of new economies and a culture that is inclusive. I am thrilled about our partnership with Rise & Tide Capital. We want to capitalize on the entrepreneurial spirit in our communities. We believe our customers, who are often marginalized in Dallas’ communities, will soon become entrepreneurs. Once that happens, we believe they will then hire others close to them, ultimately providing a path out of poverty. Dallas is in for a well-deserved treat.” – Antong “Bruse Wane” Lucky, President

“As a 30-year veteran educator, I have seen firsthand what happens to families when they lose hope and the effect that it has on future generations. Urban Specialists was founded by me to help address some of the problems families are facing. Rising Tide Capital is a partnership that will help budding entrepreneurs launch their dreams. This partnership will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs, their families and the community. This is a change in action!” – Laura Hayes, National Executive Director
