MADISON, WI, October 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Today, U.S. Term Limits has announced that Captain Jason Church (Retired United States Army) has accepted the Wisconsin State Chair for U.S. Term Limits. This role requires Church to bring a wealth of public service. Church has witnessed firsthand the importance of term limits at the federal levels and will tirelessly work in his role as Wisconsin’s State Chair to ensure that term limits are addressed in Wisconsin.

It is an honor to serve as the Wisconsin State Chair for U.S. Jason Church stated, “Term Limits.” Jason Church stated that term limits are essential now more than ever. According to polls, Americans are united on one issue, regardless of their political affiliation: the need for term limits in Congress.

“We are blessed with members of Congress who were elected in the Ford Pinto’s prime, when it was America’s most popular car and the 8-track tape the next big thing.” Church concluded, “I can’t think of a better argument for term limitations than that.” Serving in Congress has been a rewarding career rather than a public duty for many. Term limits will end the career of politicians and make Congress more useful for all Americans.

Jason Church, a Wisconsin resident and activist, is long-standing. He graduated from Menomonie high school in Menomonie. He graduated from University of Wisconsin La Crosse 2011, where he was a four year letter winner in football and a cadet in ROTC. Jason was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant (2LT), in the United States Army after he graduated. He graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School after completing his training at Fort Benning.

After completing his training, Second Lieutenant Church was assigned a unit based in Fort Lewis, WA. He deployed with this unit to Afghanistan in May 2012,.

In August 23, 2012,, Lieutenant Church of Afghanistan and nine others from his platoon were killed in an IED blast. Both legs below the knee were severed by the IED blast. Lieutenant Church underwent 21 surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda. Before receiving his prosthetics, and the recovery process. On July 31, , he was promoted to Captain and retired medically from the Army.

Jason received a Master of Arts degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Wisconsin Law School. He served as an aide to Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson Healso serves on the board of directors for Sentinels of Freedom; a foundation to assist severely wounded post 9/11 veterans and he ran for Congress in 2020.

Captain Church military medals include the Purple Heart and GWOT Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, CIB. Airborne Parachutist Badge and Ranger Tab. At the 2014 NCAA National Convention, he was presented with the 2014 NCAA Inspiration Award. Jason was inducted into the UWL ROTC Hall of Fame and the Army ROTC National Hall of Fame.
